Roderick LeDesma found his love for food at a very young age, when he learned how to cook with his mother. Growing up on old cooking shows and cookbooks, he was always in the kitchen. Working in restaurants through high school, he then went to the University of Arizona, thinking a college degree was the “right” path. He left to go to culinary school at the Art Institute of Tucson, where he began working at Primo at the JW Marriott Starr Pass. Quickly moving up the ranks, he was asked by Chef Melissa Kelly to join the team at Primo in Rockland, ME. He then returned to Tucson, where he took over as the Chef de Cuisine back at Primo JW Marriott.
